Personality Determinants in a workplace

The determinants of personality can be grouped in five broad categories:

Figure 1: Personality Determinants (Source: Geukes et al., 2018)

Biological Factors

Heredity - The term "heritage" is used to describe traits that are passed down from parents to their children. The heredity method claims that the molecular structure of the genes, which are found in the chromosomes, is the ultimate source of an individual's personality.

Example : Facial Attractiveness

Brain- Focus on the importance of the brain's involvement in determining one's personality. Researchers in the field of psychology are unable to demonstrate objectively that the human brain has an impact on one's personality.

Physical Features - The way someone looks on the outside is a big part of their personality, and it's largely dictated by genetics (Wahl, 2020).

Example : Shape of the body

Cultural Factors

Our upbringing, early conditioning, social conventions in our families, friends, and social groups, as well as a variety of other events that shape our personalities are all variables that contribute to the development of our personalities (Popovych et al., 2021).

As a result, the culture has a significant impact on the way people think about things like independence, hostility, competition, and collaboration (Popovych et al., 2021).

Example : An employee from abroad , behave in accordance with their culture

Family Factors

Rather than limiting what a person can be taught by the culture, the family and then the social group select, interpret, and distribute the culture (Popovych et al., 2021).

Example : Home environment

Social Factors

The importance of other influential individuals, groups, and organizations in shaping a person's character is being recognized more and more.

Socialization is the process through which a person learns to synthesis and absorb the various behavioral possibilities that are available to him or her (Popovych et al., 2021).

Example : Social Class

Situational Factors

Situational factors can also have an impact on a person's personality. The environment has a significant impact. Evidently, people's behaviors change when they gain new skills, knowledge, and language (Popovych et al., 2021).

Example: An employee behave in a different manner in front of the manager and in front of same level of employee.

(Popovych et al., 2021) (van Laar et al., 2020) (Wahl, 2020)

In conclusion, it can say there are variety of personal determinants available and each factors have different type of influence on human personality and it is important to aware on those factors when working with more people in an organization.

HR integration strategy

Figure 1: Integration (Source: Nguyen, 2012)

Human resources plans are frequently linked both horizontally and vertically to the overall business strategy. Strategic HRM focuses on the development of HR strategies that are integral to the comprehensive company plan (Rahman & Eldridge, 1998)

Figure 1: the integration of strategy (Source: Slide Team, 2021)

The integration of strategic HRM with the organization as a whole is critical. Horizontally and vertically, human resources plans are often related to the overall corporate strategy. Strategic HRM focuses on developing HR strategies that are relevant to the overall corporate plan (Technology & Prematilake, 2018).

Business leaders may get more out of their investments in human resources technology by connecting disparate systems (Mishra, 2018). HR technology leaders will not question the value of integrating distinct talent management systems or tying them to the mothership of a human resource management system (HRMS).

Benefits of HR Integration

·      A stronger sense of cohesion exists among the talent elements, which are more closely connected.

·      The efficiency of operations has been boosted, as has the automation of talent acquisition processes.

·      Improved user experience, a shorter learning curve, and greater adoption throughout the talent lifecycle are all benefits of using this technology.

·      Streamlined sharing of talent data, decreased duplication, and more accurate talent data are all benefits of this initiative (currently seen as poor in most organisations).

·      Management will benefit from improved data and analytics.

·      Better operational performance and a stronger return on investment are expected from the HR department.

(Technology & Prematilake, 2018)

Role of HR in the integration process

Human Resources (HR) has an important role to play in this process, but they also need to undertake some administrative work to ensure that the organization is lean and has a clear chain of command, which is why they are responsible for handling the actual integration of teams.

                                                                               Strategic Integration

Horizontal HR Integration

Vertical HR Integration

Horizontal HR integration is possible for a wide range of HR functions. The term "horizontally integrated system" refers to an HR system that has all of its components working in harmony. Horizontal Talent focuses on recruiting for the IT, digital marketing, and creative industries, as well as business and strategy, because that is where our experience lies. It is our sister company, Horizontal Digital, that provides strategic planning and creative execution for clients across all channels (MBASkool.com, 2021).

Example: Facebook and Instagram integration

The effectiveness of human resources lies at the heart of vertical integration. Human resource management practice, responsibilities, and contributions are evaluated in terms of how well they match with the strategic management process of the organization and how well they contribute to the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of the organization (MBASkool.com, 2021).

Example: McDonald's is an example of vertical integration. The world-famous fast-food business is a master of Vertical Integration implementation.

In summary, HR integration impacts to increase increases the organization performance, The report discussed about benefits of HR integration, role of HR in the integration process including vertical and horizontal integration.

Pros and Cons of E counselling for an organization.

Figure 1: Counselling (Source: Expressions Counselling © , 2019-2021)

Psychological counseling via e-counseling or online counseling is a controversial method of delivering a range of services, including treatment, consultations, and psycho-education, via distance communication technology. (Speyer & Zack, 2003).

Figure 2: Pros and Cons of E counselling (Source: Author Developed, 2021)

Figure 3Pros & Cons (Source: Times 2 Track, 2017)

Pros

Physical Limitations

Accessing mental health care can be difficult if you're unable to leave your home. For those who are unable to leave their homes due to illness or disability, online therapy may be a more suitable option. Customers of ICBC are frequently stressed out by the sheer number of appointments they have to attend. Due to their physical restrictions, getting to and from appointments can be a challenge. Such individuals may benefit from online counseling since it allows them to receive emotional support while they continue to heal physically. (Speyer & Zack, 2003).

Convenience and Accessibility

There is no better place to be than in your own house. Additionally, you may be able to choose an appointment time that is more accommodating with online sessions than you would with in-person ones. You can use the time you spend driving to and from the office to prepare for your session or work on your assignments. (Speyer & Zack, 2003).

Remote Access

If you reside in a rural region with few close mental health care facilities, you may not have access to counseling services unless you use internet counseling. (Speyer & Zack, 2003).

Long Distance Support

If you have to leave British Columbia for employment or education, your counselor will be able to continue working with you through online sessions until you return. There will be no interruptions or delays in your therapy as a result of this. (Speyer & Zack, 2003).

Table 1: Pros of E counselling

Cons

Health Insurance Coverage

Online counseling may or may not be covered by health benefits that already cover traditional counseling. Health insurance, on the other hand, is offered by a variety of companies. RCC - Registered Clinical Counsellor – is the title that each of our therapists has. Online appointments with an RCC are likely if your insurance covers them. (Baker & Ray, 2011).

Dependent on Area

In many cases, internet counseling services are only available inside a specific geographic area. As a result, make sure you're looking in your own neighborhood. There are tight laws regulating whether a counselor, therapist, or psychologist can help someone outside of their "jurisdiction" no matter what country or province it is. (Foon et al., 2020).

Confidentiality, Privacy, and Unreliable Technology

Counseling sessions are supposed to be private and confidential, as you are aware. However, the internet adds another level of difficulty to the equation. Additionally, privacy breaches and hacking are becoming more of a problem for businesses. It can also be tough to get to your counseling appointments when you truly need them because of technical difficulties. (Johnson, 2017).

Table 2: Cons of E counselling

E counselling has become a trend in current world and more organizations have applying that concept while getting advantages from above discussed pros and reducing cons.

Worker Management communication on Organizational performance in Apparel Industry

Figure 1Apparel Sector (Source: EDB, 2021)

It's a fantastic concept and a tremendous management tool. Even though organizational performance is a broad term, understanding its many components - financial, market, shareholder return, and sustainability demonstrates how a professional can choose the appropriate indicators for measuring it (Marques, 2008)

The ability to communicate one's thoughts and ideas through language is a characteristic shared by all humans. Language, particularly the spoken type, has evolved over time, making it easier for humans and other creatures to distinguish themselves from one another and from one another's environment (Castro et al., 2016). As a result, language can be thought of as a collection of sounds and symbols that are used to communicate information. Human behavior is influenced by communication in every facet of its scope. Any communication that is used to promote a product, service, or organization is referred to as business communications

Characteristics of High Perfromance Organization

Effective Worker Management Communication in Apparel Industry

·      Determine what world-class manufacturing or plant communication includes by studying the best practices of the most successful firms.

·      Be specific about your organization's vision and goals, as well as your expectations for the quality of plant communications.

·      Plan for triage support so that you may evaluate communications in multiple production sites and identify those that need greatest help.

·      Make sure you have the best practices and step-by-step instructions for plant managers available in your playbook.

 ·      Assistance with real-time concerns and issues for plant leaders      through coaching.

 ·      Progress can be monitored by surveys and plant observations.

(Bashar et al., 2021)

Apparel Industry communication Strategy

The exchange of information is a critical component of any export order procedure. Various methods are used in fashion merchandising to send technical and color information to factories in order to move forward with an export order (Bashar and Adnan, 2021).

Brandix Lanka communication and organizational performance

The Branidx Company is organized in a hierarchical manner. In a hierarchical organization, communication is extremely difficult. Communication through hierarchical systems also takes time to receive feedback. However, the Brandix corporation was able to circumvent these issues and progress with the new technology (UniAssignment.com, 2020). They communicate using the internet, group video calling (e.g., Skype), and video conferencing. With new technology, the Brandix company is able to prevent these issues and improve the company's communication process. Their good communication process impacts to take most effective decision for organization and it impacts to increase organization productivity.

Brandix Communication model
Every organization recognizes and values the importance of communication, regardless of what they produce, where they are located, or at what size they operate. Organizations can utilize communication models to improve successful communication in the workplace if they understand them. There are three well-known and widely used communication models in use today. Those are the ones Shanon’s Model, Berlo’s Model and Schramm’s Model.

Figure 2: (Source: Technology and Prematilake, 2018)

It is preferable if Brandix employs Berlo's communication model. Because, according to this paradigm, both the source and the receiver must have excellent communication skills in order for the message to be properly encoded and decoded. Only if the two points are proficient will the communication be at its finest. Brandix can communicate effectively inside the organization and make better judgments by adopting this communication approach (UniAssignment.com, 2020).

In conclusion, the blog has discussed about how worker management relationship communication impacts to organization performance, apparel industry performance application with reference to Brandix company.
